Rave Motion Pictures premieres Shrek 2 digitally with Barco Digital Cinema 2K projectors

Atlanta, GA – May 20, 2004 – Barco Digital Cinema is pleased to announce that Rave Motion Pictures showed the highly anticipated movie Shrek 2, which debuted nationwide Wednesday May 19, 2004, in two of its state-of-the-art theatres. Rave’s Vestavia Hills 10 in Vestavia, AL and the Grand Prairie 18 in Peoria, IL, are both newly equipped with Barco’s advanced D-Cine Premiere DP100 2k resolution projector. The engagements were the first showing of a film projected digitally in their respective markets.

Rave Motion Pictures continues its commitment to the highest standards in customer service, audio and visual presentation, remarkable amenities and now the latest in technological advances in projection. Based, in Dallas, TX, the privately held circuit will have 18 theaters and nearly 300 screens by the end of 2004. All theaters are built from the ground up to truly enable Rave Motion Pictures to be ‘The Ultimate Stadium Theater’ in any market in which they operate.
