Le Bourget Exhibition center in Paris is all set and ready to welcome over 355,000 visitors to the Paris Air show. In the coming weeks, trade visitors as well as individuals from around the globe will visit the 2,000+ exhibitors showcasing their innovations for the aviation industry. High-flyer at the Barco booth will be the brand-new, exceptionally lightweight DU-1200 display for business jet cockpits.

Last month, Barco presented its latest control room technology and networked visualization solution at the Guangzhou summit in China. Over 120 customers and integrators from all over southern China attended to experience the unique TransForm N streaming video input node (and its powerful imaging performance and data management efficiency) at first hand.

From June 3 till June 5, Barco presented its product offering at the fifth annual World Stadium Congress, hosted in Doha, Qatar. Visitors to the exhibition showed significant interest in Barco’s ClickShare and control room solutions, along with the latest virtual reality technology.

AZ Maastricht, a 715-bed academic hospital based in The Netherlands, has installed Nexxis, Barco’s IP imaging and audio management platform in its new hybrid operating theater. Barco recently visited the new operating room to find out how Nexxis is making a difference. Interviews with the IT manager, the hybrid project leader and an interventional radiologist led to interesting insights on the main benefits of Nexxis.

Prof. Dr. Philippe Halimi, head of radiology at the Paris HEPG Pompidou hospital and a lead specialist in head and ENT imaging, is more than happy with the Barco diagnostic display systems his team is using: “When visiting colleagues at hospitals that don’t use Barco diagnostic display systems, we can easily compare the image quality. Once back behind our workstations, we immediately see the difference and appreciate the high quality we have here."

Dassault Systèmes recently chose Barco’s Powerwall, a sophisticated 3D visualization solution for its high-profile Executive Briefing Center housed within its brand new North American headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts. A world leader in 3D design software, 3D Digital Mock Up and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, Dassault expanded its partnership, with Barco to raise industry awareness on the importance of 3D stereo visualization and collaborative applications not only for engineering and design but also for cultural and educational purposes.

We are happy to welcome a fourth member to our successful HDX family of three-chip DLP rental projectors! The HDX-W20 FLEX shares the on-board image processing, compact design, easy servicing, and preview mode features with its W12, W14 and W18 cousins, but offers a light output of 20,000 lumens. What’s more, the HDX-W20 FLEX will be standard equipped with the light-on-demand option, which gives rental companies the flexibility to tune their projector’s light output to the specific needs of their customer’s event.

Movie fans will not only be entertained with star performances in the newest comedy from Twentieth Century Fox and Regency Enterprises, “The Internship,” they’ll see the LiveDots C5 LED delivering a command performance in three different movie sets. From a dark nightclub venue to a bright daylight, window-flanked dining hall set, the C5 presented brilliant imagery, and allowed technicians to adjust screen brightness, color and contrast on the fly to meet every need.

Firstly, we have added an audio model to our flagship video converter, the ImagePRO-II, to provide users with a wide variety of options for embedded audio. Next to this we are expanding our popular PDS presentation switchers with three new multi-format switchers that support 3G/BarcoLink SDI outputs. A third new product is the MatrixPRO-II 16x16 DVI router with HDCP support and finally we are also releasing two new pre-configured multi-format presentation switchers: the FSN3G-1802 and the FSN3G-1804.
