When the nation’s top college football players gathered at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana for the NFL Scouting Combine (National Invitational Camp), it wasn’t just their 40 yard dash times that coaches and trainers were watching. Medical evaluations are the number one priority of the Combine, which help teams determine their picks for the NFL draft. Barco was the exclusive provider of healthcare imaging displays used by team physicians and radiologists to conduct player medical evaluations.

23 teams of enthusiastic kart race drivers lined up on the starting-grid of the City Kart race in the German town of Wipperfűrth, on 19 May last. Barco distributor LANG AG sponsored the event with a 25m2 outdoor wall, composed of Barco OLite-510 LED tiles. The spectators praised the exceptional brightness of the outdoor display.

Barco’s medical display designed for reading digital mammography and breast tomosynthesis exams took centre stage at the 42nd São Paulo Radiological Meeting (JPR), from 3 to 6 May last.

Barco Healthcare is receiving unprecedented demand to support educational hands-on training for digital mammography and breast tomosynthesis on a global scale, including in new regions such as Brazil and Mexico. During 2011, Barco Healthcare supported a total of 26 educational workshops and 2,500 radiologists in over 20 countries incl. the United States, China, Taiwan, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Finland.
