Barco shines bright at annual NightGallery/FotoWeek DC

Thousands of Washington, DC visitors were treated to a spectacular display of art and architecture at the “NightGallery”/FotoWeek DC program held November 6th-13th.  Monumental projections illuminated the facades of significant Washington, DC architecture to showcase some of today's provocative and inspiring works of art. Barco’s products were used to showcase images on the exterior of all venues, including the Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art+Design, Newseum, Holocaust Museum, American Red Cross, National Museum of the American Indian, Satellite Central (M Street - Georgetown) and the Human Rights Campaign buildings.

Barco’s products were used to showcase images on the exterior of all venues, including the Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art+Design, Newseum, Holocaust Museum, American Red Cross, National Museum of the American Indian, Satellite Central (M Street - Georgetown) and the Human Rights Campaign buildings.

These artfully sequenced, multi-story projections created an impressive high-definition exhibition of some of the world’s most compelling photographic collections. Executive Producer and Designer, and Titanium Sponsor, Marc Herring of Herring Media Group, explained that, “The concept is to use large-scale multimedia projections to transform landmark buildings into immersive displays of light and image. Barco is our primary technology partner for the event and it’s been a real pleasure working with them.”  At the National Museum of the American Indian, a Smithsonian venue, Barco demonstrated a wide array of products including: FLM HD20 and RLM W-8 projectors; Cyberlight® 2.0, SHOWGUN 2.5, and DL.3™ lighting, and Road Hog™ Full Boar lighting control products; an FSN Multi-Format Switcher; and C8v and C11 LED tiles.
