Global fashion retailer Chanel celebrated the re-opening of its newly renovated Soho, New York boutique in concert with the City's annual "Fall Fashion Week." The centerpiece of the event was an interactive "Graffiti Wall," a 23' wide expanse of video projection screen onto which guests sprayed colorful digital video graffiti from Chanel-branded cans.
AV/lighting consultant Scharff Weisberg chose several Barco lighting and projection products to create a stunning display worthy of the celebrity-studded occasion. The folded-path projection system was based on Barco RLM-W6 projectors. In addition, 40 Barco OLite LED tiles, measuring 10' high x 23' wide, created the central high-resolution core. 380 MiStrips were incorporated into the design of two columns, each mounted to a custom-fabricated steel chassis, fanning out from the center section. The LED walls were driven by a media server through a Barco DX-700 LED processor.
