Abertis Telecom and Barco play a leading role in Spain's move to digital TV

Digital terrestrial television (DTT) is on the up in Europe: by 2012 all European member states should have completed the switchover from analog to digital. Spain is leading this transformation with a bit of help from Barco.

Digital terrestrial television (DTT) is on the up in Europe: by 2012 all European member states should have completed the switchover from analog to digital. Spain is leading this transformation with a bit of help from Barco.

Abertis Telecom has the largest network of audiovisual broadcasting and distribution sites in Spain and provides telecom services to operators and corporate networks. They manage 52% of the DTT network in Spain. To run and monitor this network, the company recently equipped its Western Control Room in Tres Cantos with 10 Barco projection modules and as many Hydra Compact controllers.
