Barco is enlivening the stage of the Tony Award®-winning “American Idiot,” the smash-hit rock musical appearing on Broadway in New York City through April 2011.  Featuring the story and music of legendary rock band Green Day, American Idiot utilizes Barco projectors to create a stunning, dynamic stage backdrop for the trio's exhilarating journey in search of the meaning of life.

Based on Green Day’s multi-platinum album by the same name, American Idiot is the story of three lifelong friends, forced to choose between their dreams and the safety of suburbia. Three Barco FLM R20+ projectors mounted sideways along the balcony rail create one large HD scenic projection across the surface of the set to enhance the electrifying drama onstage. The backdrop morphs into various imagery-rich scenes to anchor the dozens of video/TV screens which play an integral role in telling the story.
