Ever since its foundation in 2009, the psychedelic, ethereal music of the Kortrijk-based band SX has received raving reviews from radio stations and music critics. When its debut album was ready, the Brussels Planetarium – one of the biggest in the world – appeared to the ideal venue for an exclusive showcase. SX played six of their new songs in front of a 100-strong audience, accompanied by a breathtaking, immersive projection onto the 840m2 dome. Since 2010, the Brussels Planetarium has been featuring eight ultra-bright Barco SIM 7Q LCoS projectors. The Barco solution is combined with an astronomical database (containing 117,000 stars), SkyExplorer simulation software and DomeManager control software from RSA Cosmos to take visitors on an incredible journey through the solar system. The attending SX fans – and press – were totally swept away by the winning combination of fascinating, intriguing music and the breathtaking projection. Watch the video.
