New wireless controller for Barco’s family of presentation switchers for iPad and iPad Mini

Just when you thought show direction was only getting more complicated, Alford Media has developed an easy-to-use wireless controller enabling iPad control of Barco’s family of presentation switchers. Sponsored by Barco, the Alford Control Toolkit can now ease the life for show directors charged with creating spectacular live events. This app enables Barco’s ScreenPRO-II, Small Encore and Large Encore Controllers, and the FSN switcher to be effortlessly controlled at the show director’s fingertips using their iPad and iPad Mini.

The Toolkit is completely customizable. Show directors can enable the controllers to Learn, Delete and Copy Presets and can Edit the text color and transition duration on each preset button in the app. Additionally, the app has buttons for Clear Layer All, Cut, as well as an animated Auto-Trans button. Depending on the controller, the app can provide up to 900 preset buttons, all of which can be re-sequenced. 

Additionally, the Alford Control ToolKit enables a show director to save the app’s preset button settings to a show file within the app, which can be recalled and even shared via e-mail. The custom .alf file can then be opened on any other iPad running the Alford Kit.
