Cine Colombia delivers premium cinema with Barco projectors and immersive sound

Colombia’s largest entertainment company is doubling the number of Barco projectors in its cinemas this year and installing Barco’s immersive cinema sound format in its premium Mega Sala auditoriums at shopping malls in Bogota and Bucaramanga. Innovative technology has been the primary reason that Cine Colombia has entrusted their digital cinema needs to Barco for several years.

“We have always been committed to technological development, which is obvious, because our goal is to be one step ahead of our competitors,” said Munir Falah, President of Cine Colombia. “We also understand that technology can make or break our customers’ movie experiences. That’s why we’ve been working with Barco for four years – we don’t want to settle for less than the best.”

The latest deployment, continuing through 2013, is bringing the total to 150 Barco projectors across the exhibitor’s circuit. Raising the entertainment bar in its flagship Bogota and Bucamaranga locations, Cine Colombia is installing Auro 11.1 by Barco to enhance the immersive quality of premium movie showings.
