Cinemark expands its Barco digital cinema footprint in Latin America

Cinemark continues to enhance the moviegoing experience for its international patrons, recently acquiring hundreds of Barco’s DLP Cinema® projectors to grow its digital cinema footprint in 12 Latin American countries. The newly digital theaters are measurably driving profitability for the company in the form of increased revenues in combination with business model efficiencies gained through the conversion to digital cinema.

To support its Latin America customers, Barco maintains eight parts depots in Latin America, providing 24/7/365 onsite technical support through local service teams. In addition, Barco’s installation and advanced service certification training is available in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Mexico City, Mexico, and Sacramento, California.
