Barco Healthcare shines at HIMSS Middle East

For many years now, Barco has been a regular exhibitor at the US edition of HIMSS, an annual conference revealing the latest in healthcare IT and management systems. Last Tuesday and Wednesday, we attended the Middle Eastern edition for the first time ever. The numerous enthusiastic reactions proved that there are still a lot of opportunities for Barco’s medical solutions in the region.

Connected health

HIMSS Middle East took place from 30 April to 1 May at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This year, the focus of the conference was ‘connected health’, covering the crucial aspects of IT integration and deployment in healthcare. Hundreds of healthcare professionals attended the show, including members of the Ministry of Health and staff from military hospitals.

A major leap forward

As a prominent player in healthcare enterprise visualization, Barco took the opportunity to present the numerous visitors with its latest healthcare solutions. “On display were our Mammo Tomosynthesis 5MP solution for breast tomosynthesis, the Coronis Fusion 6MP DL with LED and our market-leading interactive patient care solutions for the bedside,” says Barco’s Business Development Manager Mushabab Alqahtani. “We received lots of positive responses from visitors. Our debut at HIMSS Middle East proved to be yet another step forward in enhancing our trading relationships and our business in the region.”
