Stay in control: successful Open House in Qatar

How can control room operators, decision-makers in crisis management centers and emergency operations staff keep perfect control on what’s happening? And what technology can help them take the best decisions promptly, in mission-critical operations? To find that out, 116 professionals attended the Open House of Barco partner Salam Technology at the Hilton Hotel in Doha (Qatar) on 28 April last. Barco experts were invited to showcase the newcomers in our control room solutions portfolio.

Long-term partnership
Salam Technology and Barco have been working closely together for the past decade, performing many successful installations in the Qatar region. This year’s Open House was a perfect opportunity to underline that long-term partnership, through presentations and demonstrations of Barco’s latest technology. One of the eye-catchers at the seminar was our large, curved OSV video wall. Launched at the end of January and debuted in the Middle East in April, the OSV series combine the proven advantages of rear-projection cubes with our advanced image processing. It’s therefore ideal for fostering collaboration in control and crisis room applications.

Foster collaboration
Besides the OSV, our OBLX free-standing displays, were on display. Everyone who attended the seminar clearly understood the message: “Barco’s latest suite of large-screen display solutions have been developed with two things in mind: to really foster collaboration and to help operators stay in complete control during their mission-critical operations.”
