conhIT: Demonstrating how Barco truly is connecting healthcare IT

Visitors to the joint Cisco-Barco booth at this week’s ConhIT in Berlin, Germany, discovered how our OR over IP and our new solutions for patient bedside environments can help them enhance productivity and clinical efficiency, while improving patient well-being.

 

Patient care and workflow efficiency
Visitors to the Barco booth were introduced to Nexxis, the company’s market-leading IP-centric video and audio management solution. Delivering uncompressed, zero-lacency images, video and audio in the OR over a 10GB fiber network, Nexxis provides seamless integration of all devices including modalities, cameras and displays in the OR. In addition, Barco partner Xevit showcased our fully integrated bedside Smart Terminals, software and Healthcare TV solutions designed for use at the Point-of-Care (PoC), provide a host of interactive applications including secure access to Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and innovative triple-play solutions (web, IPTV, VoIP) for patient entertainment and communication.
