Background Images Chooses Barco LED for Eminem's Anger Management 3 Tour

Background Images of Valencia, California provides all video displays and camera systems for this year’s rap-fest.  The trio of rappers each took center stage with Barco LED as the backdrop.

50 Cent’s stage design includes scenes from a distraught New York City with a not-so-proud Statue of Liberty, graffiti and a subway ride made out of the LED Display.  A total of 150 tiles of Barco D7 were used to create the displays within this design.  Visually stirring content helped to push the G-Unit front man to a hard-edge show laced with gunfire effects and street wise rap. 

After a quick set change, headliner Eminem hits the ground running up and down a three-story stage complete with 5 columns of LED and a center content screen.  This display is made up of 250 tiles of Barco D7.  The columns and center screen are configured to allow for a full image across the entire display or having the center screen separate from the columns. 

Derek Burt, Senior Engineer at Background Images and also crew chief on the tour was quick to say, “We’ve really designed the system right.  The production gave us the requirements and we literally started the design of the system with a blank page.  Everything we have put together is based on the demands of a fast paced hard working tour.  I am very pleased with our design and product.  Loads of flexibility and very rugged.”

The Anger Management Tour travels through the US and wraps up at Comerica Park in Detroit, home base for Eminem.  Then it is off to Europe.
