Barco achieves 1000th Digital Cinema projector milestone
Kortrijk, Belgium, 20 December 2006. Barco is delighted to announce that it has reached its 1000th 2K Digital Cinema projector milestone further reinforcing its position as a worldwide industry leader in the Digital Cinema Market. Barco now holds more than 55% market share in Europe and 65% in the Asian Pacific region and is currently enjoying, in the US, its fastest growth of any single region. The digital cinema revolution has truly begun and in order to meet the expected upsurge in demand, Barco is increasing its capacity from the current 300 units a month to 500 a month in 2007.
