Barco appoints Filip Pintelon as President of the Avionics and Simulation Division

Filip Pintelon comes to Barco with nearly 21 years of experience in program-, product-, project and P&L management. Most recently he was Corporate Vice President of the Testing Systems Division. LMS is a Belgium-based company which develops products and services to support the prototype development activities of automotive and aerospace & defense companies. In this way Filip is familiar with these industries and he brings a vast experience in change management, product development and go-to-market strategies in an international B-to-B environment.

Before his time with LMS Filip held several positions at Andersen Consulting (Accenture) and Boston Consulting Group. He obtained an MBA from the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School, following his graduation in 1986 as a Master in Mathematics/Informatics at the Catholic University of Leuven.

The creation of the new division Avionics & Simulation was announced by Barco at its Analyst & Investor Day last September. This division combines the activities of Barco in the avionics and simulation markets. As of 1Q09 the division’s results will be reported together with those of the 3 other divisions of Barco: Media & Entertainment, Security & Monitoring and Medical Imaging.
