Barco demonstrates exciting array of display solutions for broadcast at IBC 2004
Kuurne, September 10, 2004 – IBC 2004 will see Barco further extending its range of display solutions with the new iPresent, the first solution of its kind that will produce the quality level and flexibility required for video displays used during live, in-studio broadcasts. This represents Barco’s continuing development with innovative products for broadcast applications. Barco will also show its managed monitoring solution iStudio, the networked IQ Pro projector, the configuration program D-Cine Communicator for digital projectors and supports IBC with the D-Lite 7 Outdoor LED display with broadcasts of IBC’s InfoChannel. These products will be shown from 10-14 September 2004 at IBC, Amsterdam, in Hall 1 Booth 1.419, in the Display Zone Booth 8.206 and in the Outside broadcast area.
Barco's iPresent solution will finally bring on-stage video walls to the quality level needed for interactive use in high-demanding, rich-content productions. iPresent is a complete backdrop solution that consists of specifically adapted rear-projection modules, combined with a customized controller and dedicated software. iPresent is able to show a multitude of video and graphical windows and produces smooth transitions from one display wall layout into another. Thanks to its high resolution, superior flexibility and excellent on-camera performance, iPresent permits great interactive use and increases accessibility for the audience.
Barco's iStudio is the most advanced all-in-one solution for managed monitoring. It consists of a high-quality display with rear-screen projection, a graphic controller, and Web-based operating software. One projection module is capable of simultaneously displaying multiple analog and digital video, embedded audio and computer images. Two or more modules can be combined into a huge display wall to monitor hundreds of signals. iStudio acts as a single point of control and includes advanced warning capabilities.
A uniquely powerful and easy to use configuration program for the Barco D-Cine Premiere projector range of Digital Projectors, D-Cine Communicator provides all of the tools necessary for total projector set-up and control. Available in Theater, Engineering and Post Production versions D-Cine Communicator provides varying levels of operation depending on the user need, from the simplest control and diagnostics for the theatre projectionist to the ability to activate 3D Clut and manipulate gamma curves for Post-Production. Thus Communicator will enable Digital Intermediate and Digital Masters to be created with their own individual look and feel, to match the projector with any filmlook, or with the output of a laserwriter.
Barco is pleased to support IBC by supplying a DLite 7 Outdoor LED display to wow show visitors with broadcasts of IBC’s InfoChannel. Located right at the entrance of the RAI, the Barco LED wall is rugged, IP65-rated and delivers high-resolution full colour images with unequalled brightness and contrast levels. The product line is available in a range of resolutions and performs superbly in bright environments, even in direct sunlight. The integrated image processing and transmission allows for full control over video and data sources. Combined with Barco's display management and control software, the LED displays are a complete solution for a variety of applications.
Barco will also present its intelligent iQ Pro projector in the Displays Zone. This network centric visualization device represents a revolutionary class of networked projectors and will change the way we currently meet, share ideas and make decisions. You no longer need to bring your laptop to the meeting and take time to set up your presentation. With the iQ Pro you can send any file, in any format, over the network directly to the projector. There is no need for dedicated PC, DVD’s or AV cabling in meeting rooms resulting in cost saving on peripherals and cabling and ongoing maintenance and in increased efficiency.
