BARCO Extends Family of Networkable Projection Devices
BarcoGraphics 6500: compact, affordable XGA power for bright environments
BARCO adds a new member to its family of highly flexible, networkable projection systems for dynamic visual presentations in bright environments: the compact BarcoGraphics 6500.
Based on the proven concept of the BarcoGraphics 6000 Series with a new lamp design, the BarcoGraphics 6500 delivers brilliant images with a light output of 4,000 ANSI lumens. Featuring a native XGA resolution and BARCO’s patented Pixel Map Processor, this unit displays all analog and digital sources from VHS video to 1280 x 1024 pixel workstations. An optional FireWire input allows you to connect computers with digital video cards and consumer electronics products, such as digital camcorders and cameras.
Furthermore, this BarcoGraphics 6500 has been equipped with all proven features of the 6000 family: a wide range of state-of-the-art lenses for installation in almost any configuration, the AutoImage feature and the low acoustic noise level to avoid unwanted audience distraction, … to name only a few.
In addition, BARCO offers the recently announced network-enabling option, which makes this projector an IP addressable device. By using the web application in a standard internet browser, every user with authorized ID and password can access all vital functions of the projector or get information on the general status of and the electronics errors in the projector from any networked location. The diagnostics information can also be delivered by mail at whatever time interval you want and to whom.
These features make the projector a really intelligent tool for integration in environments and installations where remote monitoring and diagnostics are important aspects in the management of the projection device.
