BARCO Introduces Network-Enabling Option for 6000 Series Projectors
Network capability for BARCO 6000 Series projectors
allows easy control and diagnostics from remote locations
BARCO has set new standards in intelligent remote control and central management of projectors. By installing the optional Ethernet 10/100 Base T interface, projectors can now be connected to a LAN and become an IP addressable device. In fact, as easy as you connect your PC to the company network, you can connect your projector: it acts as a website and mail service on its own.
By using the web application in a standard internet browser, the user can access all vital functions of the projector from any networked location. With just one mouse click, projector features are easily accessed (switch sources, change brightness and contrast, adapt geometry, change lens zoom, shift, focus, etc.). In addition, the user can get information on the general status of all projectors in the network. More advanced diagnostics inform the user of when to change the lamp and other electronic errors. The projector can be programmed to automatically send this information via e-mail to the user. In addition, the user can access this information by manually addressing the projector. Of course, security is not an issue, as access is only granted to those with an authorized ID and password.
