Barco introduces next generation control room display solutions at Infocomm USA 2005
Infocomm, 8 June 2005 Las Vegas, USA – Continuing to provide and enable leading edge imaging solutions, Barco announces three exciting developments offering new dimensions for control room visualization systems. Barco will showcase its revolutionary display design for control room displays, networked visualization and the next generation high bandwidth controller. Barco will exhibit at the show on booth nr 901.
Barco will demonstrate its next generation OverView D projection series - a revolutionary step forward in display design. It is the world’s first seamless cube design (0mm seam) with no stitching. In addition, it is faster to install (50% reduction in install time), easier to install (50% less parts), and cheaper to transport and store (50% less volume). All these benefits will save the customer much time, space and money.
The new OverView D projection series integrate cutting edge DLP™ technology into display wall systems from 50" to 80" while maintaining excellent on-screen contrast, optimal brightness, sharpness and large viewing angles. With the innovative design and superior performance, the OverView D series are optimized for use in a 24/7 mission critical environment.
Barco takes networked visualization a step further with the new TransForm SCN. TransForm SCN extends the already rich tool set available for customers who want to share their visual information over the IP network. With the TransForm SCN, any computer graphics source can be transported over an IP network without the need for extra software installations on the computing platform. This allows better security, requires less processing power and provides remote viewing of the graphical source. The TransForm SCN provides external capture of the computer graphics output thereby allowing complete host computing platform independency. The TransForm SCN is a hardware based encoding solution providing optimal compression performance. In combination with Barco's screen-scraping software, the TransForm SCN completes the solution for high quality and high performance remote distribution of computer graphics.
Barco’s Transform A is the next generation controller from Barco with a switched fabric backplane. This provides 3x more bandwidth to be able to support higher resolution inputs such as UXGA, HD Signals, and Streaming Video. The TransForm A also provides a more compact design by reducing 33% of rack space.
With these exciting new tools, Barco provides the audio visual industry with an easy to use solution that is currently ready to support a full migration to digital IP networking and higher bandwidth sources.
