Barco introduces two new additions to its OverView D series
Atlanta, GA – Barco’s Control Rooms is pleased to announce the introduction of the OverView D 80” display wall . The Overview D is already available in a 50” and 67” solutions. Barco’s OverView D series projection modules provide unique features to enhance the operator’s comfort in a 24/7 mission critical environment. By including Barco’s proprietary “Optical Dimming” and “Dynamic Feedback” technology, the OverView D series projection module will allow constant optimization of brightness and contrast performance while maintaining excellent color uniformity. The 80” display wall features SXGA+ resolution.
As with the 50” and 67”, the OverView D 80” features the latest high-contrast DLPTM technology, optimal brightness, contrast, color uniformity and wide viewing angles. Barco’s proprietary Optical Dimming technology ensures optimal light coupling between the lamp and the DLPTM chip and also compensates for lamp life, resulting in superior brightness and uniformity. In addition, Barco’s Dynamic Feedback technology allows the display to maintain consistent light output. The OverView D display systems can be combined by Barco’s proprietary stitching technique, allowing virtually seamless display walls that can be expanded both vertically and/or horizontally to any size, in straight or curved configurations.
The OverView D Series offers extraordinary reliability and lifetime serviceability. The display’s dual redundant lamp design allows the user 100% reliability. Lamp replacement easily performed from the rear of the system, while the unit is running and without loss of video. The display also offers a dust-free design, access to operation and service adjustments through IR remote control and an On-Screen Display.
Barco will also introduce the OverView DR120, a single chip DLPTM-based projector with a resolution of 1,280 x 1,024 pixels (aspect ratio 5:4). A perfect combination of compact size, high light output and exceptional resolution make Barco’s OverView DR120 ideal for rear-projection mount. It can easily be integrated into any retro enclosure or used as a replacement projector for older generation projectors. SXGA resolution can even be obtained in a 4:3 aspect ratio thanks to the built-in Pixel Map Processor. Multi-screen applications benefit from the display’s superior color uniformity across all screens.
Barco will debut its new OverviewD 80” and DR120 solutions during InfoComm in Atlanta, GA, June 9 – 11, 2004. Barco is located in booth number 1317.
