Barco Products Shine at IAA 2001 in Frankfurt

As the world’s largest owner of Ilite display technology, ETF Event Engineering – which owns 100 square meters of Barco’s revolutionary Ilite 6 product, provided displays for some of the world’s leading car manufacturers at this year’s IAA.

Of the three hundred and fifty square meters of Barco daylight display on show at IAA, almost two hundred and seventy-five square meters are made up of the renowned Ilite 6 mm product, the highest resolution of daylight display available today.

Currently available in three versions, the ILite 6, 8 and 10 guarantee images with brightness over 2,000 Nits - a level, which has never been achieved with any other indoor display technology. The high resolution ranging between 6 and 10 mm further improves astonishing image quality, even for an audience standing as short as 9 feet/3 meters or at an angle up to 165° from the surface of the display.

BARCO’s ILite comes with a built-in PC, which not only allows the system to configure itself in whatever shape and size, but also provides for continuous performance during maintenance or service (hot swap). This built-in intelligence enables the user to mix several batches of tiles of various runtime ages without image uniformity degradation or to remotely monitor the system.
