BARCO Projectors Become Actors in Danish Theater Production

Hotel Pro Forma is a well-known Danish theater group, which displaces the notion of theater into new territories. Its untraditional productions have been performed in museums, tower halls, public buildings and theater venues in Europe, Mexico, Japan, Australia and USA. Hotel Pro Forma’s new production “Site Seeing Zoom” reflects the interplay of man and computer and rejoices at the diversity of the world. Like pilots, the audience travels in the landscape of memory. The interplay between the movement of the journey, the four narrators, the guide acting as a shadow on the stage, the audience walking around the scenography, and the sound create a great performance.

In order to project the images of the performance, Hotel Pro Forma selected AV·Center, one of Denmark’s leading audio-visual companies for fixed installations and rental applications. They chose BARCO’s SLM G5 DLP™ projector. Four SLM projectors are installed in ceiling-mount configuration and display 4 identical computer images on 4 partly transparent screens, which are placed in a big cross. Sten R.
