Barco teams up with Asia's leading business school and provides networked presentation solutions

CEIBS was established in 1994 as a Joint Venture between MOFTEC (Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation) and the European Union. In January 2004 CEIBS’ MBA program was ranked #53 in the world and #1 in Asia according to the Financial Times. CEIBS delivers MBA, Executive MBA and executive education programs and is the favorite educational institution for China’s business elite as well as International company executives operating in the region.

Barco entered China 10 years ago and has rapidly expanded its China operations in the last 3 years. Barco in China has grown from less than 50 employees to over 200 and established R&D and manufacturing operations in 2003. Barco’s need for top level managers brought it to CEIBS from where it has sourced several of its senior managers.

CEIBS and Barco will cooperate in the areas of research, development, manufacturing and technology management. CEIBS’ professors are working with Barco managers to develop the Barco China management team.

CEIBS has also awarded Barco preferred supplier status for vizualisation and display solutions. Barco will equip the CEIBS campuses in Shanghai and Beijing with its world leading networked presentation solutions.

Barco management will further be involved in the CEIBS’ Corporate Advisory Board where it will work with the top managers of several leading international and Chinese companies to further shape CEIBS’ educational offering.
