Barco unveils VesselMetrix vessel analysis software at RSNA
VesselMetrix offers radiologists advanced Multi-Planar Reconstruction (MPR) and 3D functionality for rapid and easy analysis of aneurysms and stenosis
RSNA 2004, CHICAGO, IL, USA, 28 November 2004 – On the occasion of this year’s meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Barco will preview its new Voxar 3D vessel analysis module VesselMetrix. The new module provides radiologists with a clinical protocol-based workflow for quantitative analysis of contrast-enhanced Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) and Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) studies including stenosis, stent and stent graft planning, and stent graft surveillance.
The new VesselMetrix module has been designed to increase productivity, report key images faster and make the clinical task of reading CTA and MRA studies easier with minimal user intervention. Advanced functionality such as automated vessel finding acts as a baseline for accurate vessel measurements and permits rapid segmentation of vessels in only two clicks. In addition, the Live Image capability within Voxar 3D has been extended into VesselMetrix. Using LIVE IMAGES, users can prepare a study for viewing and save their work for subsequent reading by the radiologist.
VesselMetrix is the first in a family of advanced clinical software modules designed for, and integrated into, a PACS workstation environment. VesselMetrix is an optional extension to Voxar 3D and takes full advantage of Voxar 3D’s seamless integration into PACS.
