BARCO''s High-Bright Tower Control Display Selected for New Spata Airport in Greece
MAASTRICHT, THE NETHERLANDS - BARCO has been selected by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) to supply TCD 251 tower control displays for the new International Spata Airport in Athens, Greece.
Thales ATM is integrating BARCO's 20.1" high-bright LCD display into the airport's Sur Movement Guidance and Control System. HCAA chose BARCO for its long-term support and the technically advanced display technology of the TCD 251, offering unique features such as a high-bright light output of 680 Nits, a dimming ratio of over 1000:1 and an on-site removable backlight tray.The new Spata Airport is scheduled to be officially opened and operational in March 2001.
