With this purchase, Fuji France continues a long-term partnership with Barco as a supplier of state-of-the-art medical imaging technology. Fuji has been integrating Barco’s CRT-based MEDIS® 5MP and MAMMOMEDIS® HD display systems into their dedicated applications for digital mammography for several years. With the market transition from CRT- to LCD-based systems, Fuji opted for Barco’s revolutionary LCD-based CORONIS® 5MP MAMMO display system.

With the choice of CORONIS® 5MP MAMMO, Fuji France affirms Barco’s efforts to perfect today’s flat panel imaging technology and bring filmless perfection to digital mammography. Moreover, CORONIS® 5MP MAMMO’S cutting edge technology guarantees users a pixel perfect viewing system that meets today’s highest quality standards.

Fuji selected CORONIS® 5MP MAMMO because of its unique, integrated technologies, which successfully overcome problems inherent to current LCD technology. CORONIS® 5MP MAMMO displays continuously adjust the luminance output per pixel and eliminate screen noise, thereby making each individual pixel comply with DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine) standards. In addition, CORONIS® 5MP MAMMO is equipped with a technology that detects and identifies the defect pixels in each individual display to assure that no information is missing.
