GoVision introduces largest mobile unit to date featuring Barco SLite LED displays
Atlanta, GA – Barco is pleased to announce that GoVision, a prestigious Barco Rental Partner and provider of mobile event video services, will launch its new mobile LED unit, aptly named GoBigger, on May 1, 2004. GoVision is designing, building, operating and managing the new mobile LED unit for Magna Entertainment Corp., who recently selected Barco to provide its revolutionary SLite LED display solution for MEC’s Gulfstream Park in Miami, FL. MEC is the largest owner and operator of thoroughbred and standardbred racetracks in North America, based on revenue.
The 18’ x 32’ Barco display is installed on a fixed structure, specifically-designed for the display, at Gulfstream Park. During the racing season, the spectacular display provides fans with live video footage, enhancing the spectators’ overall entertainment experience during races. When the season ends, the display will be removed from the custom-built structure and transform into the largest mobile LED unit on the market, GoBigger. GoVision will assume operation and management of the mobile display unit for the entire duration of Gulfstream’s racing off-season.
The new mobile unit features the 18’ x 32’ Barco LED display, mounted on a 53-foot trailer. GoBigger will be available for rental nationwide May 1st and is already slated to appear at the Breeders’ Cup at Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie.
GoBigger’s display will have the capability to be raised 18 feet and rotated 360 degrees for optimal display and viewing. The unit’s premier Barco SLite 14 screen, the first SLite to be used in the United States, is custom-built for large-format, outdoor viewing. This will be the first time the SLite 14 will be used on a mobile unit with a wide-screen ratio. The screen’s modular design will allow it to be removed and resized for various events and staging.

GoBigger will also feature an onboard generator, built-in sound system, camera package, and a complete, onboard control room, making it completely self-sufficient at any event. The GoBigger unit can run input on the display from virtually any source, including any pre-recorded or digital format and satellite downloads.
