ISIS LCD Main Display Passes the One Thousand Mark
MAASTRICHT, NETHERLANDS - Since its launch in October 2000, major Aviation Authorities and system integrators have integrated the ISIS 2K x 2K LCD main display for their ATC programs. ISIS displays are already operational in over 30 ATC facilities all over the world and Barco delivered its thousandth unit last December.
December 2002 Barco reached another important milestone in the company history when the thousandth ISIS flat main display was shipped. Barco now has a worldwide installed base of over thirty ATC operational facilities. The worldwide acceptance clearly illustrates that Barco’s resolution revolution exceeds the specifications imposed by the ATC community.Deutsche Flugsicherung opted for ISIS for its new ACC in Bremen and the NEWSIM ATC simulation program in Langen. Skyguide chose Barco’s main display for its Zurich and Geneva upgrades, whereas EUROCONTROL selected ISIS for its Maastricht UAC. AMS is integrating ISIS into various programs and Thales ATM selected ISIS for several worldwide programs, including Australia’s TAAATS program.ISIS is also taking the US market by storm and has been chosen by Lockheed Martin for the FAA ARTS Color Display and the En-Route Centers’ Console Reconfiguration and MDM Replacement Program.Barco’s ISIS family of flat panel main displays and graphics controllers bundle image quality, low lifecycle cost and CRT compatibility into a state-of-the-art visualization solution, compatible with the worldwide de facto ATC standard 20” x 20” square format at 2048 x 2048 resolution.
