'New Technology' Award for BARCO ISIS 2K x 2K LCD Main Display at ATC Maastricht

MAASTRICHT, THE NETHERLANDS - Today, BarcoView received Jane's Airport Review's Industry Award for ISIS, its revolutionary 2K x 2K LCD visualization solution. BarcoView was awarded for its technological efforts to improve performance and effectiveness of air traffic control operations. This award, in addition to the numerous requests for evaluation units and the certifications in progress, clearly illustrates the leading edge BarcoView has acquired in ATC visualization technology.
At Wednesday's exhibitor ceremony, Alan Condron, Publishing Director of Jane's Airport Review, presented the 'New Technology' award to Luc Vandenbroucke, Managing Director of BarcoView and Vice President of BARCO nv. A panel of Jane's editorial representatives and industry advisors recognized BarcoView's contribution to enhanced airspace capacity and safety.ISIS is for the first time on display in Europe at this year's ATC Maastricht exhibition. The 4 megapixel LCD displays of the ISIS family combine performance, low lifecycle cost, user comfort and an open system environment into an innovative visualization architecture.The BARCO ISIS product family features four flat panel versions: a chassis version for integration into workstations, a panel-mount version with front-side mounting, a monitor replacement version which offers a form-fit functional replacement for existing consoles and a desktop version, especially styled for use on office desks. BarcoView has also designed the first 2K x 2K digital graphics controller, the PVS5611/TD, for use with the ISIS main displays.
