From 27 to 30 September last, the Slovenian seaside resort of Portorož was the setting for the 15th ‘Festival of Slovenian Film’. This year’s edition marked a technological première: Barco and its Slovenian partner AVC group, the technical sponsors of the event, installed a Barco DP2K-23B digital cinema projector to ensure a truly amazing film experience.

Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo visited Barco in the “Big Apple” this week, bringing a delegation and press from Belgium to Barco 26 Broadway, a new demo center in New York City. Mr. Di Rupo enjoyed a tour of the facility where he and his entourage experienced the best of Barco’s LED line, witnessed our HD projectors’ complex warping and blending capabilities, enjoyed Barco High End Systems’ lighting solutions, and viewed a Command, Control and Collaboration room complete with ClickShare.

From 22 to 24 June last, the prestigious Royal Albert Hall (London, UK) hosted a live performance of the iconic West Side Story film. Once again, it called on its AV partner SFL group to provide them with a solution for the three sell-out performances. The Barco partner suggested using Barco HDX-W18 projectors to make the film come alive on the big screen. Everyone was blown away by the image quality.
