Barco received several awards at InfoComm in recognition of its technology innovation in the area of video walls and image processing. The OVL-815 received an award for “Best Video Wall” and the RCP-120 received an award for “Best Remote Control,” both conferred by Commercial Integrator magazine. Accepting for Barco’s remote control panel for the FSN, were Kevin Clarke and George Koumis of the Image Processing division.
In January, Barco started works on a brand new building for the German R&D center in Karlsruhe. The new center will centralize all engineering and design activities for Barco’s control rooms division, resulting in a top-notch workplace environment for innovation. Captivating a crowd of hundreds during its annual New year's message, World Outreach Chuch presented a brilliant panoramic video show to convey its 2011 "Blueprint for 2011." Entitled "Seen and Unseen," the eight-minute full immersion video specatular relied on eight Barco FLM HD20 projectors to illustrate Pastor Allen Jackson's message of divine intervention with stunning results.

On behalf of BRAINPOOL TV GmbH and NDR, CT realized an enchanting LED and video show for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest - the biggest live TV-show in Europe. The show reached an estimated audience of 120 million people worldwide and 36,000 spectators live at the arena in Düsseldorf, Germany. Set designer for this year’s edition was Florian Wieder.
