Increasing multi-source efficiency for SLB Dairy Ashford

Schlumberger is the world's largest service provider for the oil and gas industry. Its technology segment, Schlumberger Information Solutions (SIS), specializes in software for the oil and gas industry's exploration and production segments. For its South Dairy Ashford center in the city of Houston, it was looking for ways to improve collaboration and interactivity. The center already relied on Barco visualization. “Customers and visitors immediately notice the system's large screen size, brightness and immersive depth of field. But we wanted to expand the system's functionalities,” says Brian Hallman, iCenter Manager at the Schlumberger South Dairy Ashford office, “Barco proposed its XDS Control Center software. Barco XDS allows several 2D and 3D sources on-screen at the same time, all controlled with mouse and keyboard in a familiar Windows desktop environment. “With our recent integration of Barco's XDS Control Center software and hardware, the operation of the room is very user friendly, yet provides a high degree of flexibility,” comments Mr. Hallman. “With Barco,we share the same end goal – making customers more productive, more efficient by offering superior, user-centric solutions.”
