63 City, which opened its doors in July 1985, has established itself as a major tour site in Seoul, South Korea. Besides housing an aquarium, a shopping mall and 11 restaurants, this impressive building – named after the number of stories it has – also features the '63Art Hall' entertainment complex. One of the centerpieces of the complex is Korea's largest IMAX theater. Moviegoers stand in awe of the eight-story high and 23m wide screen. The quality of the 2K digital cinema projector was doubtlessly the reason why 63 City's owner Hanhwa (Korea's 16th biggest company) chose Barco's DP 3000. Only the DP3000 had the required screen width to fit screens like those of the 63 IMAX theater, which are up to 30m wide. It provides an unforgettable cinema experience for everyone visiting Seoul's entertainment hotspot.
