When the ultra-bright FLM HD-20 steps in a starring role

Barco’s ultra-bright (20,000 lumens light output) FLM HD-20 projector has received raving reviews in events around the world ever since its launch. Take Portugal, for example. Portuguese AV expert Smart Choice supplied FLM HD-20 projectors for a series of spectacles that wowed all visitors.

Smart Choice’s success tour with the FLM HD-20 kicked off during the opening festivities for the 2012 European capital of culture in Guimarães, one of Portugal’s most important historical cities. The year-round celebrations in Guimarães started with fireworks, music, massive crowds, psychedelic lights and stunning graphics projected onto buildings. One Barco FLM-HD20 was used at the official opening ceremony, while four FLM-HD20s powered a 3D projection mapping on the famous castle of Guimarães during a spectacle by the Spanish theatrical group La Fura dels Baus.

Somewhat later that year, Smart Choice set up a sound, light and video show at the famous Campo Pequeno bullring in Lisbon, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Avon - the famous manufacturer of beauty products. Two stacked FLM-HD20 projectors and an Encore controller helped create a magical atmosphere.

Last but not least, three FLM HD-20s brought the Christmas tree to live at the Terreiro do Paco in Lisbon. The projectors visualized words, films and real-time images on the 28-meters high tree, thus arousing a unique Christmas feeling in the city.
