Luz Greco 2.0 projection mapping

Keeping the faith in the HDQ-2K40

Every year in July, the city of Toledo organizes a projection mapping show on one of its main historic buildings, to visualize the life and works of artist El Greco, who has lived in Toledo for 37 years. Barco's HDQ-2K40 premiered at the 2013 Lux Greco edition, when Spanish AV expert BNC Montajes Audiovisuales chose four high-brightness projectors to treat the audience to an impressive audiovisual spectacle.

The canvas chosen for Luz Greco 2.0 in 2014 was the emblematic Toledo cathedral. The cathedral's complex architecture called for a powerful set of projectors to establish a bright and high-resolution projection mapping. Six HDQ-2K40s and two HDX-W20s faced the challenge. «Thanks to the high brightness levels of the HDQ-2K40 and HDX-W20 projectors, we were perfectly able to create a detailed projection mapping on the cathedral's facade. They really are our favorites for these types of ambitious projects,» said BNC's Francisco Borja Gonzalez Lopez.
