BARCO’s Control Display and Management System Selected by Eurocopter
FARNBOROUGH, UK, 10 September, 1998 -- BARCO Display Systems has been selected by Eurocopter to supply Control Display Units (CDUs) for its series production of the Tiger helicopter. Eurocopter’s opted for BARCO after a final competitive bidding. Under this contract, BARCO will start deliveries of the CDMS in February 1999.
BARCO’s Control Display and Management System (CDMS) is a range of compact lightweight Control Display and Management Units (CDUs), with a sunlight-readable 3”x4” Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Display. AMLCD technology provides high brightness, excellent contrast, and reduced volume with low power consumption. NVIS-B and NVIS-A are optional. Different sizes of keyboard panels are available, allowing the CDMS to fit into various avionics architectures for both new and retrofit aircraft.About BarcoView:
