Eurocontrol Selects Orthogon's Arrival Manager as AMAN for ERIS Programme
KORTRIJK, BELGIUM, 14 December 2001 - The Eurocontrol Experimental Center Brétigny has selected Orthogon’s arrival manager OSYRIS for the integration in Eurocontrol’s simulator system ESCAPE within the scope of the ERIS programme. The system will be used for pre-operational tests and validation at major airports.
In addition to their OSYRIS software Orthogon will provide development capacity for the integration of OSYRIS into ESCAPE and for the configuration of the simulations for the airports.Eurocontrol has decided in favor of OSYRIS because it is an operationally proven arrival manager with an open system architecture allowing a simple integration into existing systems and individual extensions for specific requirements.
Orthogon is one of the leading international suppliers of software and hardware components for air traffic control. Most of the company’s 75 employees are ATC experts with many years of software development experience. It is Orthogon’s strategy to offer software and hardware components which can easily be combined with and integrated into other systems in order to save the customers’ time and money.
