Case study
Barco has been selected by Skyguide (former Swisscontrol), Switzerland, to supply low life cycle cost ISIS 2K x 2K, 28" Flat Panel LCD main displays for Switzerland's Air Traffic Control System upgrade of the Zurich and Geneva control centers. Skyguide, responsible for ensuring the safety of air traffic in Switzerland's airspace, has chosen Barco's unique ISIS square flat panel 28" LCD main display because of its high optical performance in life critical and demanding aerospace applications and its very low life cycle cost. Furthermore, the 4 MegaPixel ISIS displays (resolution of 2048 x 2048) are fully compatible with the worldwide de facto ATC standard 20" x 20" square format, allowing easy integration into both new and existing ATC Controller Working Positions.
