Barco introduces new iPresent broadcast solution at NAB 2004
Atlanta, GA - Barco Control Rooms is pleased to announce its new iPresent solution, the first product of its kind that will produce the quality level and flexibility required for video displays used during live, in-studio broadcasts. The product will be shown for the first time at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) trade show and conference in Las Vegas, April 19 - 22, 2004.
iPresent is a complete backdrop solution that consists of specifically adapted rear-projection modules, combined with a customized controller and dedicated software. Capable of showing a multitude of video and graphical windows, Barco's iPresent produces smooth transitions from one display wall layout into another. The projection modules support 3200K color temperature to match studio lightning and offer wide viewing angles for maximal flexibility of camera positions. The high performance controller will offer a broad range of inputs and will be optimized to support dynamic moving and scaling of windows. The iPresent software will enable users to create a storyboard of consecutive layouts and provides a rich set of graphical effects.
"The iPresent allows broadcasters to present information to their viewers in a truly interactive environment and in real time instead of a virtual setting that requires a great deal of preparation," states Jim Durant, Market Manager Broadcast, for Barco Control Rooms, "The iPresent will allow a broadcaster to relay information to the viewer with a more realistic appeal which will ultimately be more effective in delivering the information."
With its high-resolution, superior flexibility and excellent on-camera performance, Barco's iPresent offers programmers superior content flexibility, while providing captivating on-air images, enhancing the overall visual experience for the audience.
Barco is located in the South Hall's lower level, booth number 3936 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
