Barco introduces iCommand solution at Eurosatory 2004
Eurosatory, Paris, 13 June 2004 – Barco is pleased to introduce iCommand, large-screen visualization solutions for multisource and multisensor information fusion. Featuring the latest image and data acquisition and processing technologies, Barco’s iCommand solution for Homeland Security & Defence increases information superiority in Command & Control Centers. Barco will demonstrate this innovative solution at Eurosatory, France from June 13-15, 2004 in booth number D4.
Barco Control Rooms’ iCommand solutions provide the Defence community with a network-centric visualization platform that integrates information from various different sensors and sources. iCommand is used in both operational, tactical and strategic Command & Control Centers.
iCommand physically consists of Barco’s high-resolution OverView displays, display controllers for easy data and video integration and Barco’s display management software.
The OverView series comprise high-resolution DLPTM rear-projection displays and LCD-panels for both large Collaborative Environments and Individual Workstations and are optimized for 24/7 mission-critical applications.
Barco’s Transform display controller series for intelligent information fusion feature unique archiving, redundancy and dynamic-adaptive bandwidth options. The Compose wall management software is ideally suited for Common-Operating-Picture and scenario building and dissemination, i.e. it enables shared situational awareness from the field up to the (central) command center. As a total visualization subsystem, Barco’s iCommand can be fully integrated into Command and Control System of Systems via Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
