Barco focuses Kennesaw operation for growth in Control Rooms Division
Kennesaw, GA, September 2004 – Barco Visual Solutions, LLC, appoints U.S.-based division manager and adds key positions to its organization in line with Barco’s growth strategy for North America.
Due to Barco’s rapid and continuous growth in its North American Control Rooms Division, the organization has appointed former Market Business Manager for the U.S.-based Control Rooms Division, Larry Steelman, to become Division Manager, Barco Control Rooms, reporting directly to the President of Barco North America, Dave Scott.Division Manager, Barco Control Rooms is a newly created position, which is in line with Barco’s strategy to grow the North American organization “locally” to meet high demands of Barco customers in the region. “Steelman was instrumental in bringing the Control Rooms Division to its present level of success and is the perfect choice to lead the Division as we grow the organization, bringing Engineering, Project Management and Support Services to the U.S. operation,” said Dave Scott, President of Barco North America. “This move will clearly strengthen our ability to better serve customers with focused attention and shorter design times for new systems and solutions by locating more expertise physically close to our customers.”
Barco is further supporting this move by appointing Tom Burdette to fill the newly created position of Site Manager for the Kennesaw operation, reporting also to Scott. Burdette comes from the U.S.-based Duluth BarcoView Division, where he has served for the last 19 years as the Senior Director of Operations. He is also leader of the successful BarcoView Duluth Six Sigma Program, and is, himself, a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
