Barco announces partnership for enhanced security visualization at ISC West 2005
Las Vegas, NV – At ISC West 2005, Barco Control Rooms announce its partnership with Verint to deliver better solutions for IP security operation centers. Barco, a leading edge visualization systems supplier, is teaming with Verint to address the increased need for interoperability and flexibility in security control centers.
Verint will be exhibiting (booth#14063) a Barco display wall consisting of a 2x1 Barco CDR67DL rear-projection display matrix, driven by a Barco Hydra controller. During the show, Verint will use the display wall to demonstrate the increased flexibility with re-sizeable video windows and automated layout changes of the large display screen. This solution is an attractive alternative to the banks of video display monitors currently found in security control room environments. The integrated display solution supports direct inputs from RGB (computer signals), analog and streaming (IP) video simultaneously. The display solutions also provide better viewing ergonomics – improving operator situational awareness, reducing response times, and encouraging collaborative working – as well as providing better display flexibility, higher capacity integrated decoding performance, and a lowered total cost of ownership when compared with traditional – CRT based - video display walls. The Barco Hydra and Argus controllers are interoperable with the Verint’s S1700 series MPEG4 based video servers and new S2500 IP camera. It will also be fully integrated within Verint’s Nextiva enterprise-class video management platform - providing an advanced, integrated end-to-end (camera to display) digital IP Video solution.
