Barco teams with Agricultural Bank of China to launch China banking industry's largest video display wall

Shanghai, CHINA, 31 August 2009 — Barco, a world leader in visualization and display solutions, is proud to announce the unveiling of a new Barco video display wall at the data center of Agricultural Bank of China. At 12.8 x 6 meters in size, the display stands as the largest of its kind in China's banking industry.

The display solution, which incorporates 40 cubes Barco OV-D2 series 80" SXGA+ DLP™ projection modules, allows Agricultural Bank of China's archived data center to integrate complex signal flow into a range of operations via one display system. Barco provides Agricultural Bank of China an unrivaled DLP™ rear projection-system with outstanding picture quality, system reliability and ease of use.

The Agricultural Bank of China is the first commercial bank established in the People's Republic of China in 1951. Since its inception, the Bank has continually played an important role in China's rural economic sector. One of the “Big Four” banks of the People's Republic of China, Agricultural Bank of China is headquartered in Beijing and has branches throughout mainland China, as well as in Hong Kong and Singapore. The data center of Agricultural Bank of China was established in November of 2005. It serves as the operation center, information security center and processing center of for the bank's overall operations.
