Solid partnership with ABB Automation offers Barco a way into 2.5 Mio EURO business deals world wide
Kuurne - Belgium, December 8th, 1999. BARCO, a Belgium-based leading developer and manufacturer of multi-screen monitoring solutions, today announced that a 2-years sales agreement has been undersigned with ABB Automation. BARCO’s professional wallboards will be marketed and sold as part of ABB’s integral automation solutions, worldwide and is regarded as an extension to BARCO’s traditional end-user sales.

Also a global insight in the customer’s requirements and the ability to customize their automation solutions are the recipe for mutual success.
ABB and Barco already enjoyed a healthy and mutually beneficial relationship in the past which resulted in some very impressive reference projects. For the Enel SpA holding -Italian electric power supplier- a total of seven monitoring systems have been designed such that all current, relevant information along the entire energy chain is continuously presented. Also Stattoil selected both ABB and Barco to equip a series of their rigs in the North Sea, for a better control over the oil & gas distribution and -extraction. In short, this initial integration reflects just the first benefit of our joint alliance.
