Brazil celebrates Harry Potter premiere on top of Morro da Urca, Rio de Janeiro, in presence of actor Tom Felton and Barco
It all ends… Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II had its Brazilian premiere in a true postcard style environment. This premiere marked the end of one of the most profitable film franchises and to celebrate this, Warner Bros chose the enchanting Morro da Urca as location for this long-awaited event. Morro da Urca is a small hill in the Urca neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro and can only be reached by cable car. Its Amphitheater is known as a famous event location and can host up to 700 guests.
The Harry Potter premiere took place on 14 July 2011 in the presence of hundreds of Harry Potter devotees and actor Tom Felton, Draco Malfoy in the series. With the help of partners Kinoland, Centauro and Espaço Z productions, Barco was able to bring two DP2K series digital cinema projectors to the top of the hill for this unique event, giving fans a memorable Harry Potter final.
