Barco and XL Video illuminate larger-than-life company event

Some companies organize a nice dinner at a local restaurant for their staff. Others charter the state-of-the-art Ziggo Dome concert hall in Amsterdam, invite stars like top model Doutzen Kroes, Edsilia Rombley, Trijntje Oosterhuis and Candy Dulfer, and ask superstar DJ’s sunnery James and Ryan Marciano to throw an after party for ca. 1,000 guests. And while they’re at it, they might as well top it off with a mesmerizing visual experience, courtesy of XL Video and Barco.

Indeed, almost as impressive as the line-up of superstars was the convoy of trucks loaded with decorations and audiovisual equipment that arrived at the Ziggo Dome before the event: eight trucks with logistic support and 12 stuffed with decor and stage equipment. These included 152 computer-driven spots, 200 theatre spots and 2,600 meters of glass fiber surface.

Furthermore, organizer vanderLOO party and creative content design company LiveLAB appealed to Barco’s partner XL Video to supply the necessary video equipment. To ensure an unforgettable evening and a spectacular visual presentation, a total of 2000 m² was projected during dinner. For this, six Barco HDF-W26 26k projectors were used on a 42 by 12 m projection screen provided by Thearent. In addition, nine Barco FLM-R22+ 22k projectors were used on no less than three projection gauze screens of 38x12m.

For the after party, Barco’s high-brightness HDQ-2K40 projector was used to illuminate a 60 m² projection screen. All in all, 16 projectors were used at the event, accounting for a total of 400,000 ANSI lumens. A larger-than-life party in its truest sense.
