BARCO Presents 7" BARCO VECTOR®
LONDON, UK - BarcoView has extended its BARCOVECTOR® vetronics product line with a new 7" display system with 16:9 aspect ratio. Barco's Vector Display Module (DM118) and Panel Module (PM118) can be used as stand-alone rear view display for vehicle drivers or as observation display in confined cockpits.
In response to the growing market demand for 16:9 flat panel displays, BarcoView has developed its DM118 and PM118 7" vetronics display systems. These high-resolution 7" flat panel displays with 16:9 aspect ratio offer an optimum panoramic view, which is compatible with many optic direct viewing systems. The new Panel Modules feature On-screen Display and a Symbol Generator for image overlay. The Panel Module PM118 is based upon the BARCOVECTOR® characteristic split design approach with a separate Video Control Module, whereas the Display Module DM118 has the VCM functionality into its housing.The 16:9 ratio aspect displays have already been selected for the prestigious European MRAV (Multi Role Armored Vehicle) project, the largest collaborative armored vehicle program in the history of NATO, for use as driver display and vehicle display. DM118 and PM118 prototypes have also been sold for projects in Italy and the USA.BarcoView will also develop the ACTEV HMI Software toolbox, which allows customers to customize the HMI inter of the DM118 and PM118 7" display system themselves.
