BARCO Presents VISTA Console Family
LONDON, UK - At this year's DSEi exhibition BarcoView is pleased to present its complete VISTA Console family. As a result of the recent successful integration of BarcoView Texen, Toulouse, France, and building on the companies' combined experience and strong competence in visualization, BarcoView now presents a complete range of consoles, called VISTA Family.
By combining the companies' technology, marketing, development and service activities, BarcoView Texen has become BarcoView's worldwide dedicated center of competence for consoles and visualization systems. BarcoView has merged the different consoles from its divisions to one combined family of consoles and now offers a complete range of consoles for various applications. Barco's research and production facilities are fully equipped for in-house design, development, testing and customer support. The common approach in long-term-support and standardization of spares ensures the availability of the consoles throughout their entire lifecycle.BarcoView's VISTA 1000, formerly known as CONAN, is a modular, user-configurable flat panel-based rugged compact console for use in a wide variety of C4I applications. It consists of an integrated enclosed Display Head, Computing Enclosure and Operator Desk. The up/downward tiltable operator desk can be equipped with a 10" flat panel display with Touch Screen Input. The unit is designed for application in harsh environments and can be bulkhead or desktop-mounted.BarcoView's VISTA 2000, the former C5 console, has a flexible design which enables customers to select displays and graphics boards from Barco's full range of flat panel displays and VME or PCI graphics controllers. The multi-functional VISTA 2000 series can easily be configured in either a single- or dual-head configuration. Typical application areas include sur ships, submarines, (reconnaissance) aircraft and mobile ground systems. The VISTA 3000, Barco's modular, multi-functional Naval Console, is a compact naval console for use in new as well as retrofit ships and submarines. The hard-mounted, integrated chassis has been designed to absorb the shocks that characterize the extreme environmental conditions the console operates in. By means of local internal suspension, sensitive sub-modules have an extra protection against shock and vibration. The fully modular design of VISTA 3000 gives front access to all components (e.g. VME boards, loudspeaker, internal wires, hard disk and floppy drive). The Barco console product line will be expanded by the VISTA 4000 series, which is currently in design and will be available next year. The VISTA 4000 series will add more HMI possibilities and setups for various C4I applications.
